Topic: TEAR THAT LION LIKE A KID
Bible Reading: Judges 14:5-6
📖5….”Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
📖6….And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.”
Message:
🔥Going down is descending from a higher life to a lower one. This movement occurs to all humans at different times and places. As a believer, anytime your zeal for God’s work is lukewarm or cold, you are going down. At such times, you are bound to encounter the lion that has be lying in wait for your time of downward movement, to strike you as it did to Samson in Judges 14:5-6, and as it became thieves, who stripped the man of his raiment, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead, in Luke 10:30, when both of them went down.
🔥🔥In our faith lives, going down is inevitable, but staying down is evitable. To avoid staying down, even though the devil strikes with great accuracy, we have to be filled with the Word of God to turn the roaring lion to a baby goat. The word is the only weapon that insulates us against the devil’s whims and caprices. The word you know (John 8:32), makes a believer to see God bigger than all the witches around him put together. Once God sees Himself bigger in you than the challenges confronting you, He comes to your rescue.
🔥🔥🔥So, when the lion roared with the spirit of the devil against Samson, God saw faith in Samson, which prompted Him to release His Spirit mightily upon Samson in Judges 14:6. This renewed Samson’s strength (Isaiah 40:31-33), to surpass that of the lion; turning the lion to a kid in Samson’s eyes. God supplied Samson with His Exousia because He knew that Samson recognized Him as his God. As such, God manifests His power to protect those He loves, having trusted in Him. Child of God, as you make the lion to see you as an offspring of the lion of the tribe of Judah (2 Kgs 7:3-7) by your boldness, every giant will be defeated as kids.
SOULS ACTIVITIES:
🙏O Lord, guide and guard me from every spiritual lion in ambush against me, in Jesus’ name.
🙏🙏Ancient of days, empower your word in my mouth to produce death for every spiritual Goliath defying your Church, in Jesus’ name.
🙏🙏🙏Thank you Father, for enveloping me with your ability, that has reduced all demonic giants around me to powerless kids and dead lions in Jesus’ name.
