PRAYING THE LORD’S PRAYER
>>>>>Sequel to last Sunday<<<<<
“AND FORGIVE US OUR SINS; FOR WE ALSO FORGIVE EVERY ONE THAT IS INDEBTED TO US” – Luke 11:4
A clear conscience is of prime importance in receiving forgiveness from God. To obtain a clear conscience, you must make confession to the person you have wronged. Since every sin has also wronged God, you must make confession of all to God and ask for His forgiveness. It is only by so doing that you can also forgive those that have hurt you.
Don’t allow the anger of yesterday to rise with today’s sun. As the sun set with it, don’t cross the night with it. Eph. 4:26. If you do, you will be chronicled for a sinner. Don’t be tired of forgiving somebody. If a person wrongs you, before you stop forgiving him, make sure you have forgiven him 70 x 7 times – Matthew 18:22, FOR THAT SAME WRONG (highlighted are mine).
So in all earnest, you have to pray a prayer of forgiveness of sin each time you pray. Remember what Christ said about forgiveness prayer or forgiveness itself even on a Thanksgiving Day in Matthew 5:23-24. That you should be reconciled with your brother before offering thanks to Him.
Once you have asked for the forgiveness of a sin, forgive yourself and quit thinking about it.
