Topic: BEWARE OF ANGER AT THE CORRIDORS OF CANAAN

Bible Reading: Numbers 20:9-12

📖9….”And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
📖10….And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
📖11….And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
📖12….And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.”

Message:

🔥Anger is a fit of madness that lasts briefly, yet the effects are colossal. This is why apostle Paul exhorted the Church in Ephesians 4:26 that, anger is only permitted amongst Christians if they will let it off their hearts same instance it came…else the angry one becomes a sinner; no matter the cause of the anger. God instructed Moses and Aaron in Numbers 20:1-8, to speak to the Rock while holding the rod, for it to yield water for the Jews to drink. But because of anger of Moses with the people’s constant complains, he smote the Rock instead of speaking to it. This happened when Moses was at the corridors of Canaan.

🔥🔥To the Jews, Canaan was a place prepared for them by God to settle down. It was a place of promise, which is the bedrock of every hope on which faith stands. So, to be disallowed from entering such a place as Moses was deprived in Numbers 20:12, after seeing it from the mountain top, must be traumatic. Beloved child of God, have you ever taken a break and asked yourself why you are still implacable as a Christian? Anger is Satan’s weapon to create failure for God’s children.

🔥🔥🔥This is why many believers, are not different from Moses, even when they are unknowingly close to their miracles. Oftentimes, prideful anger moves many against themselves, and with the smallest provocation, they miss their long awaited hope. Even though God tutored Cain on how to be accepted in future Thanksgivings (Gen 4:7), he rejected God’s counsel and went for anger (Gen 4:5, 8), which totally destroyed him. But for the intervention of Naaman’s servants in 2 Kgs 5:12, he would have missed his healing because of anger in verse 11. Beware of anger, so that you will not unknowingly miss your prepared miracle.

SOULS ACTIVITIES:

🙏O Lord, help me never to hold any grievances against any member of our Church, in Jesus’ name.

🙏🙏Heavenly father, don’t allow the evil one to gain access into me through anger, so he doesn’t create failure for me, in Jesus’ name.

🙏🙏🙏Ancient of days, erase from me with the blood of Jesus, every form of prideful anger that can cost me my miracle of salvation in Jesus’ name.
