Topic: PROTECT YOUR DREAMS
Bible Reading: Genesis 37:18-20
📖18….”And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.
📖19….And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.
📖20….Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.”
Message:
🔥Dreams are pictures of a future state of a person which are brought to the knowledge of people. These pictures speak volumes, which do attract jealousy from those told the dreams. People that are envied and sometimes eventually killed are not made to go through such ordeal because they are rich, but because they have dreams. To be protected from dreams killers, important dreams must be kept discrete from people. If Joseph had kept his dreams to himself, his brothers wouldn’t have conspired against him in Genesis 37:18-20.
🔥🔥The importance of dreams cannot be overemphasized. Hence, when king Nebuchadnezzar had a dream in Daniel 2:1-5, his spirit was troubled even though he had forgotten the dream. He knew the dream shouldn’t be thrown away, and so he invited his sorcerers to both remind him the dream he had forgotten, and to also interpret it. Thank God for giving Daniel the spirit to solve the King’s problem. Since God sometimes speaks to people through dreams, as he did in Genesis 20:3 to Abimelech, we mustn’t allow our dreams to be tampered with or trivialized by people.
🔥🔥🔥Joseph’s knowledge of the meaning of his dreams, and his unwavering faith that they will be fulfilled, were the driving forces that made him stuck to God. Even when Potiphar’s wife came to kill his dreams by seduction in Genesis 39:7 after his brothers failed, Joseph carefully protected his dreams by refusing to be raped in Genesis 39:11-13. Child of God, make Joseph a burning example to follow, and protect your dreams with all your strength, so that no one can have them killed. Because the roaming and roaring enemy that is looking for someone to devour in 1 Peter 5:8, is actually targeting you because of your dreams.
SOULS ACTIVITIES:
🙏Oh Lord, as Joseph’s dreams made him to live Godly in Egypt, may I never derail in my life until I get all my dreams fulfilled, in Jesus’ name.
🙏🙏Precious father, make me the Joseph of my family that all oppositions will only push me into my promotion and dreams fulfilment in Jesus’name.
🙏🙏🙏My father my father, every destiny transforming dream given to me by you, help me to work it out into fulfillment, in Jesus’ name.
